Improving Pet Families one class at a time

Building a trusting relationship with your pet and allowing them to become willing participants in learning is the first step.

Our Story

We are based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills with our own purpose built Mt Barker Dog Training facility adjacent to Mount Barker Vet Clinic. We have an all weather indoor training facility and a delightful fully fenced lawned outdoor training and exercise area. We love to see owners and their animals working together using positive dog training and developing that special bond. We have a passion for helping you learn the skills to teach your pets to be happy, well mannered, great family companions. One of the most common questions we get asked at Mount Barker Vet Clinic is now I have finished Puppy Preschool where can I continue training and socialising my dog using positive, force free methods. We found there was a lack of positive, force free dog training in our local area that offered weekly classes.

What We Do

We offer positive, force free, reward based Dog Training with fun courses that run for 6-8 weeks as well as one-to-one private lessons for owners and those dogs that may benefit from a more individualised focus. We feel running weekly classes  offers the best chance of regular consistent training to help your pet show their full potential and become the dog you dreamed of. Our weekly classes are divided into puppy age groups and adult classes. That way we can focus on the learning stage your dog is in, to better help you to teach them and develop your human-animal bond.

Opening Hours

We know people live busy lives, many with working commitments during the week, so we offer classes for your convenience during the weekend as well as during the week. Please go to our Website booking page to see which puppy training or adult dog training classes and which days would suit you best. Alternatively you can always book private lessons at a mutually convenient time .

Hot Weather Policy

There will be no training on days that are forecast by BOM to be 36 degrees + as at 7pm the day before or on CATASTROPHIC FIRE days as declared by the CFS. If we cancel due to extreme weather, we will attempt to let you know by email 8pm the previous day. You will be either emailed the notes for the cancelled class so you can practise, or the class cancelled for that day will be rescheduled if possible due to time availability.
